1. Formulate and implement necessary policies and commercial plans for the development and expansion of agricultural crops and commodities. 2. Implement special programs at the provincial level aimed at uplifting marginalized farming communities. 3. Arrange and establish provincial-level agricultural produce marketplaces. 6. Develop wholesale, retail, and periodic (haat) markets, collection centers, and other market infrastructure at suitable strategic locations across the province. 7. Provide various services, facilities, and incentives to agricultural entrepreneurs operating at the provincial level. 8. Regularly monitor the supply status of fertilizers, seeds, and other agricultural inputs at the provincial level and provide feedback to the provincial government. 9. Formulate and implement provincial-level soil improvement policies. 10. Prepare provincial-level soil fertility maps and carry out necessary activities to improve soil fertility based on those maps. 11. Increase access to soil testing services and provide **Soil Health Cards**. 12. Ensure the production and dissemination of quality source seeds at the provincial level. 13. Conduct programs for the conservation, promotion, and varietal registration of germplasm of endangered and neglected crops. 14. Implement promotional programs at the provincial level for subsidiary crops, local crops, endangered and neglected crops, and conduct special programs to increase their consumption and improve dietary habits. 15. Play an effective role in ensuring breeders’ and farmers’ rights over plant varieties at the provincial level. 16. Monitor and analyze the food security situation and provide feedback to the provincial government. 17. Identify crops and commodities that are important from a food security perspective and promote their development and expansion. 18. Formulate, plan, and implement appropriate provincial-level policies related to crop protection and commercial pest management. 19. Make necessary arrangements to implement location-specific programs for beekeeping, sericulture, and mushroom production. 20. Formulate and implement necessary policies, plans, and standards for post-harvest management at the provincial level. 21. Promote agricultural mechanization at the provincial level.
